Elements.
In you.
Four elements. Four ways of feeling.
They find their form in Ikat, Wings, Amphis and Matsuyama
Earth, Air, Fire and Water
Belonging, Freedom, Transformation and Reflection
First, something we feel.
Then, a way to wear it.
An emotion, a memory, a bond

Earth
IkaTOne is a root.
The other is a home.
We all have a land that saw us born, that saw us grow, and to which we always want to return.
But there is also land that doesn't know where we come from, but where we decide to stay.
One is a root. The other is a home.
Because some lands are walked upon, and others are carried within.

Air
WingsTo take up our space.
We are all born with wings. The difficult part is recognizing what propels us and what still keeps us grounded.
There are stages when fear decides for us: we keep silent about something we think, we postpone a beginning, we get used to a life we feel is too small.
Wings speaks of the moment we begin to live with more truth. Sometimes taking off is a huge decision. Other times, it's a first step that only you know how much effort it took.

Fire
AmphisSome changes we choose.
And others find us.
Motherhood, a move, a loss, or an important decision can change our lives and also how we view them.
Amphis is born from the two-headed serpent and its ability to shed its skin to keep growing. What has been lived remains in who we are now, even when we need to start anew.
Scars preserve the proof of everything we were able to overcome.

Water
MatsuyamaThere are people who continue
to live within us.
Matsuyama is born from two stories: a drawing by my son, after an argument, in which two people appear separated by a vertical line, but resting on the same ground within the same heart, and an old Japanese tale in which a girl searches for her deceased mother in a mirror, without knowing she is contemplating her own reflection.
Matsuyama speaks of the different versions that coexist within us and of the bonds that shape us and remain when things change.
We are the reflection of those who leave something in us. That's why, sometimes, when we look at those we love, we discover a part of ourselves.
The inside matters. Always. And a lot.
At MÉNEZ, the interior of each bag is intentional. Nothing is there just because. Each element has its own internal code.
