01 · Before MÉNEZ
The beginning was
closer than it
seemed.
Long before designing a bag, Paula already had a relationship with leather. Her great-grandfather, grandfather, and father worked in the trade. As a child, she remembers the enormous mountains of salt in the family warehouse, used to preserve it.
Then other paths followed: law studies, years working as a model, and an inside look at fashion. Writing remained the place to return to organize her feelings.
MÉNEZ brings together these parts of her story: the material she knew since childhood, what she learned afterward, and the need to do something that made sense to her.

02 · Choosing where to put life
Time
is also a choice.
Motherhood changed Paula's relationship with time. It made her wonder what she wanted to dedicate it to and what she wanted to build with it.
Creating became a way to bring together what was important: family, craft, words, and her own understanding of beauty.
That's where MÉNEZ begins. From paying attention to what we feel and letting it influence what we do. In how we work, in what we choose to wear, and in the things we decide to keep.
03 · Two places, one belonging
What we carry inside.
The root
Toro.
The countryside, the vineyards, the family winery, and the stone bridge over the Duero. The place where Paula was born and grew up. A memory of material, work, and bonds that is still present in her way of creating.
The chosen home
Mallorca.
The land where she formed her family and where MÉNEZ was born. The light, everyday life, and a sense of belonging built over time. Two places that coexist in her gaze: the roots that sustain her and the life she has chosen to build.

A phrase under the flap. A color when opening the bag. The texture you recognize with your hand.
At MÉNEZ, what is discovered inside is part of the design from the beginning. It's a way to carry something that makes sense to you, even if no one else sees it.

05 · A way of doing
The design endures.
The material evolves.
The pieces are handcrafted in Spain. We work on demand to produce what is necessary and dedicate the required time to each bag.
The same design can find another expression in smooth leather, suede, or a different texture. Many of these leathers are available in limited quantities. When one runs out, the model may continue in a new edition.
We are interested in this continuity: for an object to have a life with you, acquire memories, and perhaps, one day, reach other hands.

Life happens
in the details.
We write to preserve words. We take a photograph to return to a moment. We record a video to hear a voice again.
There are also objects that become witnesses. A bag can hold more than what we carry inside: the places, the people, and the days it has accompanied us.
